ProForm City L6 Treadmill Review

ProForm Cit L6 Treadmill

The ProForm City L6 was first introduced at the end of 2020 as an early 2021 model, answering the call for a more compact treadmill that could fit in smaller spaces and be folded for easy storage.

Although not the fanciest treadmill on the market, it has everything you need for a solid workout, including ProForm’s popular iFit program, included for free for the first year.

If space is limited, and you are looking for an affordable cardio machine for walking and jogging, this might just be the perfect treadmill for you.

ProForm City L6 Treadmill - Best Features

Super Compact Design

One of the main selling points of the new ProForm City L6 is it’s compact size. At only 70″ long and 29″ wide, it’s one of the smallest treadmills on the market today, yet it doesn’t sacrifice durability and design.

The best part is the entire upright portion folds flat, so you can easily store it in a closet or under a bed. It has wheels so you can roll it wherever you want, and it weighs only 125 lbs, so it’s definitely portable without too much effort.

iFit Workouts Included

Just like on the up-level Carbon T7 and the rest of the ProForm treadmills, the City L6 comes with iFit, ProForm’s immersive workout program with on-demand training, Google maps, sharing and tracking, nutrition and sleep recommendations and a whole lot more.

As of this writing, an iFit family membership is included for one year, which is almost a $500 value, so you can try it out and see if you like it before committing to a membership.

Keep in mind you need to use a tablet or phone for the iFit app, and there’s a built in tablet holder for convenience.

Advanced Cushioning

Even though the City L6 is small and compact, it still comes with ProForm’s advanced ProShox cushioning which helps reduce impact on your knees and joints. This is great for those who are recovering from an injury, or those who just want to have a little extra support while they train.

Other Great Features

The ProForm City L6 comes with a generous 10 year frame warranty, just like on their more expensive treadmills. You also get 1.6″ precision-balanced rollers, speeds up to 8 mph and quick speed controls to change on the fly.

ProForm City L6 Review - Conclusion

We like the new City L6 treadmill, as it gives those with less room the opportunity to buy an affordable, compact machine that they can fold and store as needed.

Plus, it comes with great cushioning and an endless library of workout choices from beginner to advanced and everything in between.

For under $1,000 on sale, you’d be hard pressed to find a better compact treadmill. However, if you are looking for something a bit more advanced check out the Carbon Series and the Pro Series.

The City L6 is definitely an entry level choice perfect for walking and jogging. If you’re more of a runner, or if you plan to use the machine regularly, one of the higher end treadmills might suit you better.
