Sole F80 Treadmill - Best Features

Cushion Flex Whisper Deck

The Sole F80 features the Cushion Flex Deck which has been shown to reduce impact by as much as 40% compared with running outside. It’s the kind of running surface you typically find on much more expensive treadmills, and is surprisingly quiet even during heavy usage.

New Touch Screen Display

The Sole F80 is one of the first of the company’s treadmills to feature a touch screen display. This brings it even closer to the technology that rival NordicTrack has been offering for years.

On the 10.1″ touch screen you can access all of your workout details, screen mirror from your phone or watch your favorite shows while you work out. This definitely helps motivate you to train longer, with a more health-club like experience.

Heart Rate Monitoring

You can choose one of the two options to monitor your heart rate: the hand pulse grips or the wireless chest strap that is included for free. Monitoring wirelessly gives you a more accurate reading that will keep you in your ideal zone, especially with the two built-in cardio programs.

Diverse Workouts

The F80 offers 10 workouts: 2 User Defined programs, 2 Heart Rate Control and 6 Standard programs.

So you have a nice array of workouts to choose from, and even in manual mode you can ramp up the incline to an impressive 15%.

Sole F80 Console

There is a track feature as well as a Peak and Valley graph so you can follow your workout to monitor your progress.

Sole recently partnered with Studio to offer more on-demand workouts with professional trainers, leaderboards and other cool features. It’s currently free for a month but then requires a monthly membership fee if you choose to continue.

Strong Durable Frame

Sole Fitness is know for the quality of their treadmills and ellipticals, and the F80 is no exception. It has a precision welded frame that can stand up to heavy usage, just like the ones you’ll find at the gym.

Easy Folding Design

The Sole F80 treadmill has special easy folding deck design, which happens with the touch of the release button. It makes storage very easy after your workouts, and will lock into place for safety.

Other Great Features

Some other nice touches include a strong, yet quiet 3.5 CHP motor, a 9″ LCD display with all of the relevant workout metrics, built-in speakers and workout tracking via Bluetooth technology.

Sole F80 Review - Conclusions

The Sole F80 is one of the best treadmills out there for the price. It’s an improved version of earlier models, with even more attractive features than before.

We highly recommend it to users looking for a strong, comfortable and smooth machine, as it bridges the gap between the F65 and the F85 folding treadmills quite nicely.

This model will best serve users who prefer a wider running surface. The Sole F80 incorporates one of the largest decks you will find on the market, a great advantage for heavier or taller users. We have a tester on staff who is 6’5″, and he found the belt on the F80 was quite roomy.

The advanced motor has a number of advantages. It is strong and sturdy, going up to 12 mph. In addition, it remained surprisingly silent even during our hard workouts. The cushioning system succeeds in reducing impact so much that we feel no pressure and no stress when workouts are done, even the tough ones.

The display is designed to make workouts a whole lot easier for every user. It is divided into several screens that help keeping track of our performance much quicker.

Speed, incline, time, distance, approximate number of burned calories, pulse and pace are concentrated in different windows that make feedback easy to read.

A big advantage is being able to change speed and incline without reaching out to the console. This treadmill includes speed and incline controls right on the arm rests.

To make it all even more appealing, you get the wireless chest strap that’s included with the machine. Usually you get wireless capability, but you have to buy the strap yourself. It’s just another reason why this treadmill was voted Best Buy in its price range by consumers and critics.

The Sole F80 model allows users to create up to 2 profiles, which is great if there’s more than 1 user working out on the treadmill.

You can input age and weight, which means you’ll be getting more accurate calorie feedback.

Assembling is relatively easy, although you will likely need two people for the job.

All in all, the F80 tops our Best Buy list for its outstanding warranty, the features included and its performance…it is one of the best choices on the market today.
